Turn an email into a topic

VNCchannels+ can carry a mailbox your administrator connects to it. Each message that arrives becomes a topic, so a discussion that starts in email lands in the right channel instead of being lost in an inbox.

  1. Send (or forward) the message to the workspace’s intake address — your administrator gives you the address.
  2. To choose the channel, name it in the subject or the body — any of #economy, [Economy], channel: Economy or to: Economy.
  3. Leave the channel out and VNCchannels+ sorts the message to the most relevant channel for you. If it is not confident, the message goes to the default Email intake channel.
  • The topic’s author is the sender, matched to their person record in VNCdirectory+ by their email address — so it looks like they posted it.
  • The message body becomes the topic, and its attachments are stored on the topic (each up to 25 MB).
  • From there it behaves like any other topic: comment, react, link it to a task, or forward it.

Applies to VNClagoon+ 2026.09 and later.
