Configure notifications
Notifications tell you about new messages. You can enable them, mute a noisy room, and turn the in-app sound on or off.
Enable notifications
Section titled “Enable notifications”- In the host utility rail, select Notifications.
- Select Enable and allow notifications in your browser when asked.
Mute a conversation
Section titled “Mute a conversation”- Open the more options menu on a conversation in the sidebar.
- Select Mute.
Turn the sound on or off
Section titled “Turn the sound on or off”- Open a conversation.
- In the room header, select the Sound toggle.
Result
Section titled “Result”Your choices are stored in this browser. A muted conversation still shows its unread badge, but it does not alert you.
