Use your Own Avatar menu
The avatar in the top-right is the only account control in VNCcontacts. It is your Own Avatar — the same menu across every VNClagoon product — so what you set here (your picture, your status, your language) follows you into the rest of the suite.
Open it
Section titled “Open it”Select your avatar in the top bar. The menu opens with:
- your identity (name, email, organization),
- your presence — a status you can change,
- your account actions,
- your notifications — see Manage notifications.
Set your presence
Section titled “Set your presence”- Pick a state: Available, Busy, Do not disturb, Out of office, Away or Offline.
- Optionally set Clear after — the status resets itself when the time passes.
- Optionally type a custom status, then apply it.
Presence shows beside your avatar wherever the person layer renders you across the suite. VNCcontacts shows a dot only when it has a real state to show; it never invents an “Offline”.
Account actions
Section titled “Account actions”| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Change picture | Upload a new profile photo. |
| Change password | Set a new password natively — you are not sent to a separate identity page. |
| Language | Choose your language (applies across the suite). |
| Appearance | Switch the light/dark theme for the current theme family. |
| Settings | Open the settings drawer (see below). |
| Sign out | End this session. |
| Sign out everywhere | End your session on every device. |
The settings drawer
Section titled “The settings drawer”Settings opens a drawer with one pane per area — Profile, Presence, Language, Appearance, Notifications, Security & sign-in and Privacy & AI — plus a rail of the products you can configure. Each pane saves to your profile, so the choice is yours, not the device’s.
Under Security & sign-in you can change your password, see your active sessions and revoke one, and sign out everywhere.
Result
Section titled “Result”Your changes are saved to your person, so they apply the next time you open any VNClagoon product — you do not set them again per product.
