Ask the assistant

The Assistant answers questions about your own contacts, companies and lists. It is read-only — it never creates, edits or deletes anything. Open it with the Assistant button (bottom-right).

  1. Select Assistant.

  2. Type a question, or pick a suggestion:

    • How many contacts do I have per city?
    • Which contacts are in Zug?
    • Who works at Acme AG?
    • Summarise my address book
    • How do I import contacts from CSV?
  3. Select Send. The answer appears in the panel.

Answers may carry chips naming the records they used; select a chip to open that record. Clear empties the conversation.

Above the conversation there is an AI provider control:

  • Server — the suite answers using the platform’s models. This is the default and gives you grounded answers with record chips.
  • Local — the answer runs on your own device (the control reads Local, your device’s own model engine). Nothing is sent to the platform, and the answer is plain text without record chips.

Pick Local when the content must not leave your machine; pick Server when you want an answer grounded in your address book with citations. You can change your mind at any time — the choice is per person, not per device.
