Create a room

A room is a shared conversation for a team, a project or a topic. Use rooms when more than two people need to talk in one place.

Steps

1. In the sidebar, select + New room.
2. Enter a room name, for example project-atlas.
3. To make the room read-only for announcements, select Read-only announcement channel (broadcast). Only moderators can post in a broadcast room.
4. Select Create.

Result

The room opens in the sidebar under your conversations. Invite the people who should take part — see Invite people to a room.
