VNCchannels+ vs VNCchat+ — when to use which
The suite gives you two ways to talk with colleagues. They are complementary, and most teams use both.
VNCchat+ — conversation
Section titled “VNCchat+ — conversation”VNCchat+ is built for real-time conversation: direct messages, group rooms, and calls. Reach for it when you want an answer now, or when the discussion is still taking shape.
VNCchannels+ — knowledge
Section titled “VNCchannels+ — knowledge”VNCchannels+ is built for structured, lasting content: channels of topics with threaded comments, attachments and search. Reach for it when the outcome should be findable later — a decision, a specification, a how-to.
A simple rule
Section titled “A simple rule”- If it is a discussion, use VNCchat+.
- If it is a record, use VNCchannels+.
- When a chat produces something worth keeping, capture it as a topic in VNCchannels+.
