How do I update the desktop app? The desktop client checks the store after it starts and every few hours. When a new version exists you get a prompt with Download & install, Later and Open download page; after the download it offers Restart now, or applies it when you next quit. Use the Updates menu to Check for updates… or Download latest version… at any time. Your contacts are kept across an update.
