VNCchat und VNCvideo

VNCchat und VNCvideo combine the day-to-day conversation of an organization in one application: direct messages, group rooms and video meetings. Chat and video are not separate products with separate contact lists — they share one identity, one presence and one history, so a conversation can turn into a meeting and back without leaving the app.

Both parts run on your organization’s own infrastructure. Messages, shared files, meeting audio and video stay in your perimeter; they do not depend on a public cloud provider.

  • One application for chat and meetings. Start a call from any conversation, or write into a room from inside a meeting. The meeting is attached to the conversation, not to a separate product with its own login.
  • Sovereign operation. Message transport, media relay and storage are hosted by your organization. There is no third-party account to create and no public service in the path.
  • Presence that means something. You see who is online, who is in a meeting and who is reachable — the same presence signal across chat, calls and the rest of the suite.
  • History you can search. Rooms keep their messages, files and calls; search runs over the organization’s own index.
Capability What it gives you
Direct messages Private 1:1 conversations with a colleague.
Group rooms Conversations for a team, a project or a topic — including read-only announcement rooms.
Threads and replies Answer inside a message so a busy room stays readable.
Files Share documents and images; the room keeps them in its Files view.
Reactions and mentions Acknowledge quickly and pull a colleague into the conversation.
Search Find a message, a file or a decision across your conversations.
Notification center One place for missed mentions and messages, on web and desktop.
Capability What it gives you
Meetings from a conversation Start or join a video meeting in the context of the chat.
Group calls Meet with a team or an external guest group.
Screen sharing Present a document or an application.
Meeting chat and files The meeting keeps its own conversation and shared files.
Scheduled meetings Plan a meeting ahead and invite participants.
  • Same sign-in as the rest of the suite — one session, no second login.
  • One person layer — the avatar, hover card and Action Wheel behave the same as in every other product.
  • AI assist — summaries and minutes, running under your organization’s AI policy (Local, Private or approved Public).
  • Desktop and mobile — as a browser app, an installed desktop app and on mobile, with notifications that deep-link back into the conversation.
  • Offline and reconnect — queued messages when the connection drops and a clean replay when it returns.
  • A team keeps one room per project and starts a short video call in it when a decision needs discussion, without switching tools.
  • A manager sends direct messages for 1:1 coordination and uses the announcement room for messages everyone must read.
  • A project group shares the minutes of a meeting as a file in the same room, then searches for the decision months later.
  • An organization runs external-facing meetings without inviting participants into a public cloud account.
  • VNCchannels is the written record; VNCchat is the conversation. A topic can be discussed, a chat can point to the topic.
  • VNCcontacts supplies the address book and the person data shown in a conversation.
  • VNCmcb builds on VNCvideo to plan and run many meetings in parallel.
  • VNCiom federates chat between organizations.
  • VNCfluid places chat and meetings as portlets next to the other products.
