Sign in and single sign-on
You sign in to VNClagoon once. After that, opening VNCtask (or any other app in the suite) just works — there is no second login prompt.
Sign in once, open everything
Section titled “Sign in once, open everything”The suite’s entry point (your VNClagoon portal) establishes your session and places a shared sign-in token for the suite’s umbrella domain. VNCtask reads that token when it opens:
- If you are already signed in to the portal, VNCtask opens straight to your tasks — no redirect, no password.
- If you are not signed in yet, VNCtask sends you to the suite sign-in and brings you back when you are done.
Because the token is shared across the app subdomains, this is seamless: moving between tasks, mail, chat or files never re-asks you to sign in.
Sign out — everywhere at once
Section titled “Sign out — everywhere at once”Signing out does not just close VNCtask. The suite keeps the session in a shared place, so sign-out ends it for every app: the portal and all products sign out together. Use Sign out for a normal exit, or Sign out everywhere in your account menu to end your session on every device and browser at the same time — useful when you are on a shared computer.
If you sign in on one app and then sign out from another, the next time you open VNCtask it correctly asks you to sign in again, because the shared session is gone. This is intentional: the apps never disagree about whether you are still signed in.
Why this matters for your data
Section titled “Why this matters for your data”Every task view is scoped to your identity. Because sign-in is suite-wide and the session is shared, your access is the same everywhere: the same person, the same organisation, the same permissions, whether you are in the web app, the desktop app or the installed app.
